What We Collect

- Financial profile: income, debts, savings, credit score band (not your actual credit report)
- Property searches and saved homes
- Contact form submissions
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers)
Information collected automatically
- Device type, browser, operating system
- IP address and general location
- Pages visited, features used, session duration
- Errors and performance data
We do not pull your credit report. We ask for a credit score band (e.g., "good" or "excellent") for affordability calculations — this does not initiate a hard or soft inquiry.
How We Use Your Data
- Provide, maintain, and improve the NestCost platform
- Calculate your NestCost Score and affordability analysis
- Match you with down payment assistance programs
- Send transactional emails (account updates, score results, feature digests)
- Send marketing emails if you opted in — unsubscribe anytime
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on encrypted cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted databases at rest, and access controls.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights).
